Corneal Refractive Therapy

Corneal refractive therapy (CRT) is a sophisticated, non-surgical process which reshapes the cornea while the patient sleeps. The individual wearing CRT lenses removes the lenses upon awaking and is able to go throughout the day without the need for any vision correction devices such as contacts or glasses. This eliminates the problem of eye irritation or dryness, sometimes associated with contact lens wear due to outside dust and pollutants, and allows active individuals to participate in sports without interference of glasses or need of contacts lenses.

Optimal vision is achieved usually within 10-14 days of beginning the treatment, and many patients report significant improvement to their vision in as little as a few days. This therapy is completely reversible if the patient chooses to discontinue use of the CRT Lenses.
